We used three main resources to create a demand letter for an employment discrimination matter:
- We used the Claude Skill Creator to build our employment law demand letter skill. We spent approximately 8 hours iterating.
- We used the FOLIO MCP server to tag notes and other uploaded resources.
- We don’t have prior work product so we used Practical Law resources on employment law as additional references in our Claude Skill resources folder.
Download the skill here:
To activate the skill, do the following:
- You’ll need Claude Desktop and a Claude CoWork subscription. Login!
- Install the FOLIO MCP server. Ask Claude for help with this if you need it. The MCP server you need is here: https://openlegalstandard.org/resources/folio-mcp/. The instructions will direct you to name the “connector.” Give it your new connector a name.
- Go to settings → Connectors → Folio (or whatever name you gave it) → Configure → Always Allow. This will allow Claude to use the tool with full permissions.
- Go to settings → Capabilities → toggle Allow network egress to “On” AND select “All Domains” for Domain allowist.
- Go to Claude Cowork
- Go to Customize → Skills → “+” (next to Skills) → Create a Skill → Upload a Skill. Select the Skill that you downloaded.
- Create a Claude Cowork Project
- Within the Project, start a chat and invoke the skill by typing /demand-letter and uploading any relevant documents or typing a narrative to generate a demand letter.
As always any feedback is welcome! And, reach out for help.
